ADDITIONAL INSURANCE COVERAGE. The standard self-drive rental insurance provided by the suppliers does not usually cover all items and will usually have quite high excess liabilities for you in case of collision damage or theft. We recommend that you add Excess Protection or Full Protection which reduce your excess liability to ZERO.

Excess or Deposit Protection.
What is covered?
If your hire car is involved in an incident.
We will reimburse you for the excess up to £1,000 for any single incident during any one period of insurance in total for the following:
- Up to £1,000 in total per rental, for amounts not covered under the collision damage waiver clause of your car hire agreement but subject to the following:
– Up to £500 for damage to the roof of the hire car per rental;
– Up to £650 for damage to the windscreen, windows or sunroof glass of the hire car per rental;
– Up to £400 for damage to the undercarriage of the hire car per rental;
– Up to £80 for damage to each tyre that needs replacing due to collision damage or up to £40 for each tyre that can be repaired of the hire car per rental.
What is not covered?
- Any claim where you have not followed the terms of your rental agreement;
- Damage to the rental vehicle interior;
- Mechanical failure of the rental vehicle;
- General wear and tear;
- Personal possesions, cash, credit or debit cards, documents, mobile telphones, tablets, laptops or similar electronic devices.
The cover is provided for the person who is the main driver and any additional drivers registerd with the owner of the car.
We have no idea which car the supplier will give you, so the cover provided by this item is provided to the driver. It is not limited to the car. Therefore the cover can be used for any self drive vehicle supplied by a car rental company, for which the driver is registered, provided that the vehicle and the driver are within the terms of the cover.
The vehicle must be less than 10 years old and valued at less than £35,000.

AMENDMENTS. You may change your booking at any time up to 72hrs before you are due to collect your car. An administration fee of 321.00thb is charged for all amendments. If you change your car type for a more expensive car type or if you extend the length of your booking, you must pay the extra costs involved for the upgrade or for the extra days. Most car rental companies will not return the cost of any unused days.

AVAILABLITY. If cars are showing on our website they are usually available. However we rely on the information passed to us by the suppliers. There can sometimes be a delay in the suppliers advising us that a particular car is not available at certain locations on certain dates. Cars are subject to availability. If your chosen car is not available we will search for the next available car of the same type. We will then email you with those details. If we can find a social media contact for you we will also send you a message using the social media. You can enter your social media contact, the social media name and your id, (usually your telephone number), in the remarks box on the booking form

BOOKING. When you book on our website you will receive a confirmation that the booking has been received. The confirmation email will include a booking reference. If our booking system detaects an error in your booking details, it will flag this to our reservations team who will reserve your car and then contact you to resolve the error.

CAR TYPES. We try to show all of the car types from each supplier on our website. However, the suppliers will sometimes have other car types that they have not told us about. The suppliers usually reserve the right to provide you with a similar car to the one that you booked. If they are unable to do that they usually upgrade you to the next car type available. 7 Seat MPV,s and SUV,s. These are 5 seat cars with what are termed Flip Up seats in the rear of the passenger area. They will accomodate smaller people but they use the luggage space to fit the people, so the luggage space is reduced. 2dr, Spacecab Pickup trucks. These cars only have seat belts for the 2 front seats belts because the rear shelf seat is not classed as a seating area. You can not fit a child seat to the front passenger seat because of the air bags and you can not fit a child seat behind the 2 front seats as there are no seat belts in there.

CANCELLATIONS. You may cancel your booking at any time up to 72hrs before your pickup time. No Shows are treated as cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 72hrs from the picvkup time the supplier of the car may require you to pay for the full rental if you have only paid a boking deposit. Booking deposits and prepayments are non refundable. The cost of the "Full Protection" and "All Protections" and "Excess Protection" options are non-refundable following any claims. Cancellations must be made by e-mail. Telephone cancellations are not acceptable.

CURRENCIES. Autorent.asia use Thai Baht as the default currency. Other currencies shown on the autorent.asia website are for illustration purposes only. Currency exchange rates are not within our control and are calculated by the card issuers. The currency rates shown on the website may not be the same as the exchange rates used by the card issuers.

DELAYED PICKUP. If you are delayed for any reason you should contact us by email or by social media, details of which can be found in the "Contact" tab of our home page. The rental counters will rearrange your pickup time for you. If you have advised us of your delay and you arrive outside of the usuall rental counters opening times, the rental counter may impose an out of hours charge. If you do not advise us of a delay, the rental counter will hold your car for up to 2 hours before releasing the car to another customer. After that time or when the rental centre closes your booking will be treated as a "no show" and your booking may be cancelled by the rental counter.

DRIVERS DOCUMENTS. When you collect your car you will require the driving licence and passport for each driver and a credit card in the name of the main driver. You may drive in some countries using your driving licence from your home country, however we recommend that where possible you purchase an International Driving Permit from your country of residence. To check the licence requirements you should view the "More Detail" located at the top right hand of each car detail, for the car that you wish to rent. Each car type and each location and supplier will have different licence requirements. The minimum age to drive varies with each supplier and car type. You should check the requirements by viewing "More Detail" located at the top right hand of each car detail. Additional drivers maybe charged, check on "More Detail" for the additional driver costs. Add additional drivers at the rental counter when you collect your rental car. All drivers must be present at the rental counter and maybe required to countersign the rental agreement.

OPENING HOURS. Most rental centres are no longer open 24hrs. Our website displays next to each car detail the usual opening hours, some rental centres may also close during piublic holidays which we have no knowledge of. Should you make a booking that falls outside of the opening hours we will email you about this.

PAYMENT METHOD. To reserve your car at our extremely competitive prices, you must pay the booking deposit at the time of the booking. Debit cards, cash, traveller’s cheques or bank transfers are not acceptable to pay for the booking deposit or the outstanding balance when you collect the car. You can only pay for both the booking deposit and the outstanding balance, using a Visa or MasterCard credit card. The supplier of the car will also need to block a small amount as a security deposit against a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card. No cash, debit cards, travellers’ cheques or bank transfers.

PRICES. Prices are subject to alteration at any time without prior warning.

VEHICLE UNAVAILABLE ON ARRIVAL. In the case of a booked vehicle being unavailable upon arrival, because the supplier has overbooked or the supplier claims that they never received the booking, you should contact us either by social media or by email. We will endeavour to make alternative arrangements for you and your party up to the number of persons allowed to travel in the pre-booked vehicle. Most rental counter managers do not have the authority to provide a vehicle in these circumstances, unless they treat you as a new customer and will charge you the rack rate. Most car rental suppliers senior managers who have this authority are not available 24hrs, so if you experience this problem outside of the suppliers head office usual hours, we are unable to discuss the problem with them untill they return to their office. You should advise us as quickly as possible if you experience this problem and then allow us reasonable time to make alternative arrangements for you. This may mean moving you to another supplier or vehicle temporarily, or arranging to transfer you and your party to a room at a local hotel, to allow us more time to make a more permanent arrangement. Should you choose to move to another supplier without allowing us reasonable time to make alternative arrangements, this will be at your expense. If you advise us that you have, without our agreement, moved to and booked a car from another supplier without allowing us reasonable time, all further assistance from us will be stopped, your booking with us will be cancelled and there are no refunds provided. If you have booked additional excess refund protection or full protection from us, then you should remember that this covers the driver and not the car. Therefore if we transfer you to, or you choose to rent a car from another supplier, the excess refund protection or full protection will transfer to the replacement car.

As an agent we are not responsible for the acts of, nor do we have any control over the car rental supplier or their staff or agents. We are not the owners of the rental cars and are not responsible for or have control over the condition of the cars.
